Years Organizing Tournaments: Since July 2020

Favorite Video Game Series: Pokémon, with Mario Kart being a close second

Primary Hobbies: Playing Pokémon GO, and traveling the US to compete in bowling tournaments

When NationalBowler1 began hosting Pokémon GO tournaments at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, it was because he mostly needed something to pass the time while the world stood still. However, he soon discovered a true genuine passion for hosting Pokémon GO tournaments after seeing the close-knit camaraderie among the game’s online community. After first getting his foot in the door by hosting tournaments in his home Discord server known as Canton PvP, NationalBowler1 would soon join the reputable Chicago-based Pokémon GO and Pokémon Unite Discord server, Illinois PvP, with whom he still hosts tournaments to this day. This experience working alongside one of the Midwest’s top Pokémon PVP servers ended up paying off in dividends later for NationalBowler1 when he eventually joined up with preeminent Pokémon GO PVP organization Silph Arena.

When asked about what NationalBowler1 wants to accomplish during his time with Mazer, he had this to say, “What I would like to accomplish with Mazer, would be to have an opportunity to put Pokémon Go on the next stage. Us in the Pokémon Go community see the potential of what it could be, and I hope that the Pokémon Go Tournaments that I'm able to help run at Mazer will get more viewership for those that love Pokémon just as much as we do.”
